It’s a fascinating storyline, and one that definitely holds a reader’s attention. I enjoyed the read, and consider it a wake-up call. As Christians, are we really ready for the trumpet to sound? For non-believers, this story offers food for thought, with scriptural references and explanations of the authors’ interpretation of the major prophetic event of all time. Read this one. It’s worth your time...

The Dead Rise First: Rapture Countdown strongly puts me in the zone and feel of that excellent Nephilim trilogy by LA Marzulli. I find this a very rare trait with apocalyptic drama, but Ragan and McLaughlin have really pulled this one off ... Apocalyptic teaching isbecoming more taboo or eradicatedaltogether. Suffice it to say, why is Matthew 27:52-53 never illuminated in the church? This scriptural source is an excellent foundation of evidence for Ragan and McLaughlin's storyline. It is mind-blowing history and nonetheless, an event that cannot be avoided. Why so silent...

The book The Dead Rise First: Rapture Countdown by Alton Ragan and Robert McLaughlin. This book is full of scripture references and explains from the author’s point of view an amazing story of Jesus’ return to earth. This book does a great job of emphasizing the need to ask Jesus into your heart and then give your life to Him...

I knew when I agreed to review this book that I would find it interesting but I didn't know that this book would turn out to be one of the best reading I've done this year. Honestly, this book is phenomenal! The Dead Rise First Rapture Countdown could be considered as an "end times novel with an unusual twist" and in my opinion, this book is just as good as and possibly more spiritually moving than the Left Behind series. Really - it's that good...

The Dead Rise First was a bit different from my usual readings. I have not spent a lot of time reading books about the end times/rapture. In fact, I am trying to remember if I have actually read a book on the subject before this one. I have spent some time studying the scriptures through a few bible studies that I participated in that have covered bible verses related to the end times but that has really been my extent on the subject...

This book was very interesting and I love to read about when Christ comes back to take His children home, want that be a great day! I find that this book as every fiction book that is written is what the author believes and some of it I agree with but I always go back to that GRAND OLD BOOK, "THE BIBLE" God's Holy word. I find as all Christians do that studying the Bible needs to cross reference with other people's beliefs and other books that have been written by men or women that have been to school just for this purpose. This book explains it different that I have ever heard before, I know the Bible says that when Jesus returns "The dead in Christ shall rise first" so buy this book and read it for yourself, you may just learn something that you have never thought of before...

I love books about the end times and of the prophecies of the Bible pertaining the rapture, so when I was contacted to review the newest book, The Dead Rise First Rapture Countdown, by Alton Ragan and Robert D. McLaughlin, I knew I was going to be super excited. Their book is a fictional one based on the theory of taking the scriptures referring to the "dead in Christ will rise first and overlaying that with the ones regarding Jesus' resurrection. I was so completely hooked from the first page and seeing the rapture in a whole new possibility. The story takes place in a small town called Jordan where the residents of the small community wake up one morning and none of their electric appliances or cell phones work. Even their cars won't start. So the citizens decide to walk to city hall to see if they have any answers...

How many times have you read the same verse in the Bible over and over and really not grasped the meaning or intent of the text? I know I have read I Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV) many times and never really thought about the phrase "...and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." I think I've always felt that it was almost a simultaneous event. BAM!...the dead rise...BAM!...we who are alive and remain are caught up together with them. Exploring the dead being raised first in the pages of this novel has really gotten me to thinking about what I think about end time events and I know in the days ahead I'll be looking at this much more closely...

Throughout the story, people who have died are showing up and talking to their loved ones. Can you imagine?? Of course it is hard for the people to understand why this can be happening. Some do remember their bible teaching and know this is probably the “end”. Others believe they are going crazy! There are empty graves and then there are some that loved ones thought should be empty that never opened at all! How sad that would be! None of us know exactly how, or when, the end will happen. What we do know is that we must be prepared. I really liked the book. As a mother who had to bury her 27 year old daughter, I was thrilled to read that we may get to walk and talk with our loved ones who went before us. I’m not sure if this is how it will happen or not. I just know I’ll see her again, whether here or in heaven...

The Dead Rise First Rapture Countdown by Alton Ragan & Robert McLaughlin. Blurb: The characters are very well written and the story is very good. Everyone who knows anything about the Bible should know about the Rapture. I believe that it will definitely happen and for that reason I was very excited to read this book. Even if you aren't a believer, it will make you stop and think, and maybe even pick up a Bible. Hopefully your heart and mind will be open. There are a lot of Biblical Scripture and if you do take the time to research, you will see that many of the things that the Bible states will happen, already have come to pass, and are still happening today. . I read "The Left Behind Series" and loved every book, and this book is just as good...

My Take: I found this book very thought provoking. I never really thought about that aspect of rapture and when I did I thought that the dead in Christ would just be taken right up to heaven. This book makes you stop and think and search the Bible for yourself to come to your own conclusion. The story itself is enjoyable and I would recommend this to really anyone...

The premise of the book seemed interesting and frankly, I was intrigued on how they would proceed to create an entire book on this one biblical verse. The moment I opened this book…I was hooked. Thoughts of the “Left Behind” Series” and Christian suspense author, Frank Peretti continually came to mind as I read this book. Seriously, this is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. I felt goosebumps on my arms as I read the possibilities of what could happen during the “End Times”. There is a lot of biblical scripture and reference to this book…which I loved. Pick up this book…get the word out because The Dead Rise First is sure to be a hit! P.S. Mr. Ragan and Mr. McLaughlin…please make sure I get to review the next book too...

Book Review: The Dead Rise First Rapture Countdown
This book is quite thought-provoking and soul-stirring, and I think it would be a good book for anyone who enjoys the study of end time events or for someone who may be backslidden or just needs a boost of zeal in their walk with the Lord. I know I'll be passing it along to friends and family in the days ahead...

The Dead Rise First: Rapture Countdown”lets us experience a new take on the rapture This is not a horror story. The events portrayed in this book will happen, in this order who can say? However the message of salvation is clear, there will be an accounting and we all need to be ready for this event. This is an interesting story with an interesting viewpoint. I am looking forward to the next book to see where the authors will take us...
